Steven Spielberg, George Clooney Galloping the polo field!?

Hollywood was polo mecca in the early 1930’s.  Spencer Tracy, Clark Gable, Robert Montgomery and a group of cowboy stars whose horsemanship surpassed the lens of the cameras.

These starlets all graced the polo fields of  SoCAL.  Before Spielberg and Geffen ran the film industry.  The film celebrities flocked to the polo grounds to play or spectate the lovely game, they called “POLO”.

The Los Angeles Equestrian Center was the epicenter for television and motion picture stars practicing or playing polo in the spacious indoor arena located in Burbank, between Warner Brothers and Dreamworks.
